The Cherokee Removal Memorial Park is located at the old Blythe Ferry Landing, 6800 Blythe Ferry Lane, Birchwood, TN.

A flag dedication ceremony was held at the Cherokee Removal Memorial Park on Wednesday April 15, 2009.  Meigs County Mayor Ken Jones welcomed the group.  The Principal Chief of the Eastern Band of the Cherokees, Michell Hicks and Chad Smith Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation raised their respective flags.  Congressman Zach Wamp presented the American Flag.  A reception was held in the visitor's center.

The Park is open daily and the Visitor's center is open on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 10:00-4:00 EST, 423-339-2769.

The Cherokee Memorial Board meets the second Sunday of each month @ 2PM at the park, the meeting is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.
